What we process
When you apply: name, email, Discord username, country, availability, language skills, experience, your writing sample and typing test result. Technically necessary data (IP address, browser) when you visit the site.
Why and on what legal basis
To review your application and prepare a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To operate and secure the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Skills check and statistics
During the skills check we store your test results, typing behaviour (timing of keystrokes, pasted text, leaving the page), your chat answers and your voice recording to assess your application and prevent cheating. Results are reviewed by a person; no application is rejected automatically based on these signals alone. We also count anonymous page visits and steps (no names, no cookies) to improve the application process.
Recipients
Our hosting provider and our applicant management system. Where these providers are located outside the EU, transfers are based on EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Storage period
If we do not work together, we delete your application data 7 months after our decision at the latest, unless you agree to a longer storage.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Write to hallo@chattercareers.com. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
